Random Tannis progress! I practiced most of the makeup (I didn’t bother with proper eyeshadow wat why) and there’s lots to improve on. It’s pretty much 75% done since my pants and goggles arrived. Now I just have to dirty it up and finish the belts. I CAN’T WAIT TO WEAR HER. <33
ps. y ducklips tho
because i needed another pair of disco shorts
Bought my wig for my next cosplay. Wooo finally! A wig that’s not brown/black! haha
I somehow managed to fix the wig, so it works. It still needs some trimming, but I might leave that for someone who knows what they’re doing. jdafds
STILL NOT DONE
It’s missing grommets, the last row of stitching (tonight), and the modesty panel which will be done after I put the grommets in. :s okbyeback2work
I am sooo behind. djaifds I wanted the trim done yesterday, but I got stuck for a bit and didn’t end up finishing it. sdfds still so much to do with little time
- sew top trim
- make backxbottom trim + sew on
- stud busk (i need an awl omg how2cutthrough4layersoffabric)
- stitching detail
- lace detail (maybe if it gets hurr)
- cry a lot
- send help
I’m taking a break tonight and working on Morrigan’s top because I finally figured it out. I’m such a derp!
I ended up buying the wig on the left for Elizabeth because it had the perfect shape, so I’d only have to trim the bangs!
BUT AFTER 4 WEEKS OF DELIEVERY, it finally arrived and thinks it’s Selphie. Even the top has this weird volume to it, so I tried to tone it done and it still looks nothing like it. :| It doesn’t even look good on me.
Now there’s only a week left and I don’t really have a wig. I’m going to play with it some more tonight, but if not, I have another wig that can be cut up even though I don’t have the skills. However, it would be nice to use the wig I bought specifically for this costume. >:(
Corset mockup 1! I’m not.. completely happy with it. I didn’t want to make an authentic corset or else I would’ve added way more boning, so it doesn’t wrinkle. I have to fix the bottom shape and take in the waist a little more.
p.s. I found 3 different kinds of white fabric scraps that work perfectly for the corset. This costume has helped me got rid of so much fabric. 8D
i sat here and wrote a bunch of boning puns, but then i remembered i’m not 12
UM I HAVE BONING I CAN FINALLY FINISH MY MOCK UP even though i’m not 100% sure what i’m doing :s
and then next week i will finish elizabeth’s corset
i have so much to do by next weekend asdfghjkl;’
Many moons ago I made Yukari from Persona 3 and wore it for a short time at some Anime North. I wasn’t terribly happy with this costume because the jacket came out too short and the rest of it is not top notch, but that’s just me being crazy. Sooooooo I’ve decided to make an appearance wearing Yukari this weekend at Toronto Comic Con.
I’m making Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite to match my cosplay twin. daofkdofsdafs I am so excited. You don’t even know!! Velvet is my ideal fabric (bravo to the Elizabeth’s that use velvet *__*), but I wanted to save money and use a perfectly suitable blue fabric that’s been sitting in my closet for awhile.
I only have to finish the hem on the back of the jacket and a few secure stitches here and there. The skirt is almost complete too, but I’m waiting for the petticoat to arrive, so I can measure the length properly.
THEN IT’S JUST THE CORSET WOOO
i have a new plan for pax, so i’m finishing the last pieces of patterning while watching friends and drinking green tea. BESTTT PART OF LIFE
what am i making? um it’s blue look at the fabric god
remember when i started making bethany
i even changed the under layer to leather
MUST FINISH IN 2013. Thinner piping on the pants, real chainmail, and everything else. >_>
